France – land of events //For more than 20 years, France has developed unique experience in hosting major world events: the 1998 FIFA World Cup, the 2007 Rugby World Cup, 2003 World Athletics Championships, fencing, track cycling, equestrian, ice hockey, skiing, Euro 2016, the Tour de France, Roland Garros, European and World Championships in almost all Olympic disciplines, the 2019 FIFA World Cup, 2023 Rugby World Cup, 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games, and tomorrow the World Cycling Championships and European Rugby Finals in 2027, the World Handball and Ice Hockey Championships in 2028, and the Olympic and Paralympic Games in the French Alps in 2030.
